Ambassador Allen F. Johnson serves as the U.S. Seafood Distributors Association's (USSDA) Executive Director. For several decades, Amb. Johnson has been involved in business and consulting activities in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Africa for companies and business associations as well as the U.S. government and international organizations. Amb. Johnson served President George W. Bush as Chief Agriculture Negotiator for the United States at the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) in the Executive Office of the President.
Prior to this position, Amb. Johnson served in many association management positions; most notably, he was the Executive Vice President (EVP) of a management services company called Hauck & Associates in Washington, DC. In this role, he oversaw national and international association management for various industries. He also managed business development efforts and served as the President of the National Oilseed Processors Association and President of the American Coke and Coal Chemicals Institute. Amb. Johnson was the chief executive officer (CEO) of several other organizations, including leading the Iowa soybean growers’ association and promotion boards, two of the largest state membership and checkoff organizations in the U.S., during their transition to a national checkoff program.

The team excels in communication, research, marketing, government relations, and problem solving activities for USSDA members.
